As part of our commitment to digital accessibility, we have comprehensively revised our website to make it more accessible for all users. The following measures were implemented to improve accessibility:

1. Extension of a Sitemap in the Footer
To improve the orientation and accessibility of all page content, a sitemap has been added to the footer area. This makes the page structure clear and easy to understand using a keyboard or screen reader.

2. Optimisation of Keyboard and Screen Reader Navigation
The entire website can now be operated completely and logically using the keyboard. In addition, compatibility with common screen readers has been improved so that content can be read aloud and navigated efficiently.

3. Addition of Quote Tags
To improve the semantic labelling of content, quote tags have been added to clearly identify quotations as such and thus enable screen reader users to better understand the content.

4. Integration of the Maintainability of Aria Labels
The maintainable integration of aria labels ensures that interactive elements can also be clearly labelled and understood by assistive technologies, which significantly improves the accessibility and usability of the website.

5. Warning Regarding External Links
External links are now identified by an individually maintainable warning to inform users transparently about leaving the website and to avoid unexpected context changes – especially for screen reader and keyboard users.

6. Increased Contrast for Navigation Elements
The colour contrast of navigation elements has been increased to improve legibility and recognisability even for people with visual impairments or in poor lighting conditions, which significantly supports barrier-free use of the site.
