Questions on WeWash Box
- Any commercial appliance can be used with WeWash, regardless of brand, machine type or year of manufacture.
- Both 230V and 400V high voltage equipment with up to 3 phases can be connected. The maximum current per phase is limited to 16A. The maximum total power consumption is 11 kW.
- No LAN or WLAN is required in the laundry room to operate WeWash. For each laundry room, all you need is a WeWash Box with an antenna connection (hub). The hub communicates with the WeWash system via an integrated, redundant network connection. This only requires mobile phone reception – regardless of the provider.
- Each hub is wired to an external antenna to optimise reception quality. This antenna is weatherproof and can be placed outside the laundry room if required. The standard cable is 0.5 m. Depending on the local reception situation, a cable of up to 50 m can be connected.
- Just as for the operation of your appliances without WeWash, each device connection must be separately secured via a sufficient overload fuse (16A).
- Likewise, a mains circuit breaker is always mandatory for commercial operation, i.e. the possibility also for the user to disconnect a machine from the network immediately and safely in the event of damage (e.g. via an easily accessible plug-socket connection or a mains circuit breaker).
- Mobile phone reception in the laundry room or at a maximum distance of 50 m via an aerial cable with an external antenna.
- For existing appliances, it may be necessary to reset or change the internal machine control depending on the previous use and settings of the appliance. For example, if a Miele Professional model was used in programme mode prior to conversion to WeWash, this control must be converted to ‘times operation’ by a technician.
- Depending on the type of WeWash Box ordered, it can be wall-mounted and connected to the appliance by a layperson.
- For WeWash Box variants with a payment device interface, a technical or machine specialist is required.
- The WeWash Box variant “Expert” must be connected by an electrician.
- You are welcome to use our installation partner search to find an electrician or Miele specialist in your area.
Setting up the “virtual” laundry room
- Before installing the hardware, create your laundry room details in the Partner Board. Further information on setting up the Partner Board can be found here.
- You also set the usage prices in the Partner Board.
Electrical connection
- One WeWash Box is installed per appliance. Click here for detailed installation instructions for your WeWash Box.
Test runs
- Once the hardware has been installed and the virtual laundry room has been set up, you can carry out a free test run for each connected appliance to verify the installation. After a successful test run, the unit will be displayed to your laundry room users in the WeWash App for booking.
Checklist
- You can find step-by-step instructions for installation and commissioning here.
Prices are set exclusively by you for each laundry room and for each appliance (washing machine or dryer). You can change them at any time on the Partner Board. Please note the terms of use.
As a WeWash partner, you automatically receive your collected turnover shares transferred to your account every month. The statement with all tax and accounting information is sent to you by e-mail at the same time as the transfer, but can also be viewed on the Partner Board.
Questions on WeWash Care
- For washing machines, one inlet and waste water connection and one Schuko socket outlet are required for each appliance. For dryers, a waste water connection and a Schuko socket are required.
- A mobile communication box is installed in each laundry room, which also requires a Schuko socket.
- Mobile phone reception is required in the laundry room or at a maximum distance of 50 m via an aerial cable to be installed with an external antenna.
- You can find an overview of the exact technical requirements in our infrastructure plan.
Preparation
- Prior to the installation of the equipment, you will receive a package from us containing the Mobile Communication Box incl. external antenna, drilling template for the WeWash Boxes as well as step-by-step instructions.
- You install the Mobile Communication Box and the antenna.
- You drill the appropriate holes in the wall so that we can screw the WeWash Box to the wall during installation.
Installation
- We install the machines and attach the WeWash Boxes to the pre-drilled holes.
- This is followed by a series of test runs.
After the installation is complete, a test run is started on each device. As soon as these have been carried out successfully, our service will be available to your laundry room users for booking in the WeWash App.
