Change in Management at WeWash GmbH
August 2025 | On October 1, 2025, the management team of WeWash GmbH will be restructured.

After ten successful years, founder and Managing Director Philip Laukart will step down from his role at WeWash on September 30 for personal reasons and relocate to Singapore. As CEO, Laukart played a key role in building the company, overseeing strategy, marketing, sales, finance, and HR. He looks back proudly on the company’s development in recent years: “It’s amazing to see what we’ve built together as a team over the past years. From the first idea, to founding WeWash GmbH as part of the Bosch Group, to today’s nearly 10,000 installations across various European countries and well over 500,000 users. I wish WeWash all the best for the future!”
The role of CEO will be taken over on October 1 by co-founder and long-standing Managing Director Dr. Rafael Kirschner. Until now, he has served as COO, responsible for product development, customer service, and the company’s legal affairs. Kirschner comments: “I am grateful for the years of trustful and excellent collaboration. Without Philip’s tireless energy for the company, WeWash would not be as successful as it is today – on behalf of the entire team, I would like to sincerely thank Philip for his exceptional commitment and visionary leadership.”
The management team will now be expanded with the addition of a CFO position, to be filled by Johanna Metz. With many years of experience in finance and controlling, as well as her previous role as Financial Portfolio Manager for start-ups at Bosch subsidiary BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, she brings not only professional expertise but also a deep understanding of WeWash GmbH, having worked closely with the company in her role since 2018. “I am very much looking forward to this new role and to continuing the company’s successful development together with the team,” says Johanna Metz.
Structured Handover and Strategic Development

The orderly handover is already underway. WeWash’s management sees the transition as an opportunity for the next growth phase. Starting in October 2025, all customer-facing areas – from marketing and sales to laundry room installations and customer service – will be consolidated under the leadership of CEO Dr. Rafael Kirschner. Internal functions such as controlling, accounting, development, legal, and HR will fall under the responsibility of new CFO Johanna Metz.
“With the new structure, we are aligning the organization even more closely with a seamless and simplified customer journey, allowing us to further optimize our proven service,” explains Dr. Rafael Kirschner.
With this step, WeWash GmbH is opening a new chapter in its corporate history. Dr. Rafael Kirschner, Johanna Metz, and the entire WeWash team look forward to taking shared washing and drying to the next level – efficient, sustainable, and customer-centered.
